The Lung Connection (TLC) is an independent non-profit corporation designed by lung transplant recipients and their caregivers, both personal and professional. It is a comprehensive resource for families going through the transplant process, both before and after surgery. TLC supports and facilitates the protocol of the University of Colorado Hospital Lung Transplant Team.
TLC does not offer medical advice or services. It exists to provide support, hope, and courage in the face of this incredible state-of-the-art adventure.
The TLC Logo
The TLC Logo is a symbol for "connectivity". It symbolizes tying a subset of our society(transplant recipients) to all other facets of day to day life. A greater sense of safety, community participation and shared accomplishment grows from involvment in TLC activities.
TLC strongly encourages and will facilitate patients' participation in pulmonary rehab at the hospital, before and after surgery. It's easier to work out with others who are fighting the same battle. The rehab group becomes a very strong connection to hope and well-being.
