Adopt-A-Day How to Make a Donation Products, Services, and Donations "Buck of the Month Club" Adopt-A-Day Adopt-A-Day Program Information Celebrating an anniversary is always an exciting event! It is at that time we have a chance to reflect on the past and to dream about our future. On January 15, 2005, The Lung Connection opened its doors to our first lung transplant recipient resident. Since then, TLC has provided for more then 50 patient visits ranging from 2 days to 1 year. TLC now provides five two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos, providing a clean, comfortable, safe haven in which to recover from this life-changing event. But what about the next 10, 20 years and beyond? All those involved in this endeavor continue to be excited about the services that we provide. We want to ensure that in the future, those with a loved one in University of Colorado Hospital have a place to call home to return to each day during the required 90-day post-op stay (as well as shorter visits for clinics or procedures). Through Adopt-A-Day, a gift of $100 will help enable TLC to provide housing services to patients on a sliding scale according to need in 2007. TLC’s mission is to turn no one away. Donors may sponsor as many days as they choose to support. Donors can select a day that has special personal significance such as a birthday, anniversary or memorial date. Specific dates are assigned in order of the date the request is received. On each day that is sponsored, the designated name(s) will be recognized on the Adopt-A-Day calendar that is located at BP’s House and posted on the TLC website. By completing the enclosed Adopt-A-Day envelope and returning it with your tax-deductible donation, you can make a gift from your heart for this life saving program. The Adopt-A-Day Program was developed to provide donors an opportunity to support the ongoing operation of The Lung Connection.
